This intimate industry sponsored educational program is designed for currently practicing surgeons who have a special interest in laparoscopic paraesophageal hernia repairs. ​
The purpose is to facilitate discussion on successful solutions for managing laparoscopic hiatal hernia repair and to understand the proper use of mesh materials in the hiatus. Discussion will include review of past and current techniques for hiatal hernia repair including collis gastroplasty and diaphragmatic relaxing incisions, clinical data, and science and technology of products and current controversies. The symposium format includes a dinner discussion Thursday evening followed by observation of live cases on Friday.
