FSIE was pleased to collaborate with Dr. Daniela Molena during her visit as a clinical fellow. Dr Molena is a distinguished esophageal surgeon from Memorial Sloan Kettering who came to us through a Traveling Fellowship Award from the Association of Women Surgeons.

Dr Walaa Abdelmoaty joined the FSIE team in 2015 as a Post graduate research fellow prior to his acceptance into the NOTES Fellowship Program in partnership with the Providence Cancer Center. He completed his MBA with a focus on Healthcare Management at the University of Portand in 2012. That same year he was awarded a Technology Entrepeneur Certificate for the commercialization of new medical innovations at the University of Portland and OHSU. Prior to moving to Portland, Dr Abdelmoaty completed medical school and recieved his masters degree in Egypt. Dr Abdelmoaty aspires to apply to general surgery residency. With a generous attitude and incredible work ethic to round out his academic credentials, Dr Abdelmoaty is an exceptional addition to the FSIE Team! Welcome Walaa!
