2019 Summer Interns in Full Swing

FSIE welcomes this group of bright young pre-medical students! This year's summer undergraduate interns have come from around the country to participate in a high impact 6-week program. After completing a comprehensive on-boarding and orientation week they are up and running. The interns are shadowing surgeons in clinic and in the operating room as well as learning hands on skills typically reserved for surgical residents. The interns have been paired up with fellow mentors and have begun their research projects and even attended their first evening journal club this week. Very inspiring!
