Post-graduate Credentialed Temporary Clinical Fellowship

Credentialed fellows enjoy a hands on experience in one or multiple GI surgical specialties including foregut, colorectal and hepatobiliary divisions. Credentialed fellows work closely with the clinical team as directed by the formal clinical fellows (see https://fellowshipcouncil.org for more details on certified fellowship programs)

Credentialed fellows will serve as an integral part of the surgical team including supervised inpatient care, surgical procedures and outpatient clinics.  Only credentialed temporary clinical fellows are allowed to “scrub in” in the operating room. We accept only one credentialed temporary clinical fellow per academic year.

Application Process
  1. Submit the online completed application including a CV and letter of support from your program director or chief of surgery.
  2. FSIE Committee will review all applications monthly. You should expect to hear the committee decisions regarding acceptance within 4-6 weeks of applying
  3. FSIE will contact you to finalize dates of fellowship. You will be required to provide a digital photo to be distributed to security and staff and pass a routine background check. (Non US applicants can provide a certified equivalent or obtain a US background check paid for by the applicant)
